Over the past two months, our employees at the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://fsre.sum.ba/">Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering</a> of the University of Mostar provided two <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.globalsoft.co/code-camp">Code Camp</a> workshops. Participants had the opportunity to learn from experts who shared their knowledge and practices with them, through two months practical exercises and a final project.At the award ceremony, it was emphasized that this certificate truly carries significant value. We would like to thank all participants for their commitment, the Faculty for hosting us in their facilities, and a special thanks to our instructors Marina Jolić and Jozo Spajić.

The successful completion of the third edition of globalsoft Code Camp

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to talk with students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing, and Electrical Engineering, University of Mostar, thanks to prof. dr. sc. Ivan Markić. We discussed the importance of college education and the additional learning opportunities available during their studies.&nbsp;We presented our own Code Camp, educational web programming workshops. Our presentation covered the idea behind Code Camp, its organization, learning outcomes, and the opportunities it provides. Jučer smo imali priliku razgovarati sa studentima Fakulteta strojarstva, računarstva i elektrotehnike Sveučilišta u Mostaru, zahvaljujući prof. dr. sc. Ivanu Markiću. Razgovarali smo o važnosti fakultetskog obrazovanja i dodatnih mogućnosti učenja koje su dostupne tijekom studija.

Predstavili smo vlastiti Code Camp, edukativne radionice web programiranja. Naša prezentacija pokrila je ideju Code Camp-a, njegovu organizaciju, ishode učenja i mogućnosti koje pruža. Trenutno upisujemo četvrtu generaciju polaznika i jedva čekamo nove studente FSRE-a.

After two months of dedicated learning and hands-on practice, globalsoft Code camp No. 2 is successfully completed!&nbsp;Under the guidance of exceptional mentors, our talented students embarked on a journey into the world of web development, mastering both frontend and backend skills. With a focus on individual growth, our students were divided into three groups based on their existing knowledge levels: basic, advanced, and full stack. Through comprehensive training, they have upgraded their skills and expanded their expertise in this dynamic field.&nbsp;The culmination of their work came in the form of a final test, which 21 students successfully solved, showcasing their skill and preparedness. Nakon dva mjeseca predanog učenja i prakse, globalsoft Code camp No. 2 je uspješno završen!

Pod vodstvom izvrsnih mentora, naši talentirani polaznici krenuli su na  putovanje u svijet web razvoja, svladavajući i frontend i backend vještine. S fokusom na individualni razvoj, naši polaznici su podijeljeni u tri grupe  na temelju njihovih postojećih razina znanja: osnovna, napredna i full- stack. Sveobuhvatnom obukom nadogradili su svoje vještine i proširili stručnost u ovom dinamičnom području.

Kulminacija njihovog rada bila je završni ispit koji je uspješno riješio 21  polaznik, pokazujući svoju vještinu i spremnost. S ponosom im možemo  uručiti zaslužene certifikate koji označavaju početak njihove karijere u web razvoju.

After the very successful first edition of Globalsoft Code Camp, the second edition is currently rolling, and we are already planning workshops for 2024. The next edition will start in February 2024 and you can already apply using the template on our official website: www.globalsoft.ba/hr/code-camp. As until now, the workshops are free but the number of participants is limited.&nbsp;As planned, workshops are held in Široki Brijeg, in a brand new space, specifically adapted for that purpose. Apart from the learning area, there is the entertainment space, available to all employees and Code Camp participants, which ensures a pleasant and a motivating working and learning environment.&nbsp;Although the Code Camp has already proved to be a great project and a step forward for our company, we also have big plans for the future to come. To enable Code Camp enrollment to numerous interested students, we want continuously hold workshops, every two months. Furthermore we will adapt our Mostar offices to the needs of Code Camp which will make it even more available to college students population.&nbsp;Apart from offering a great opportunity for learning and skills development, the Code Camp is a place for recognizing talents and can be your first step towards landing a career in Globalsoft!

Nakon jako uspješnog prvog Globalsoft Code Campa, u tijeku je drugo izdanje, a već su u planu i radionice za 2024. godinu. Kao i do sada, radionice su besplatne, a broj mjesta je ograničen. 

Kako je i bilo planirano, radionice se održavaju u Širokom Brijegu, u potpuno novom prostoru prilagođenom upravo za tu namjenu. Osim učionice, tu je i prostor za ”entertainment” koji je na raspolaganju svim djelatnicima i polaznicima Code Campa, čime je osigurano ugodno i motivirajuće okruženje za rad i učenje. 

Iako se Code Camp već sada pokazao kao sjajan projekt i iskorak u našem poslovanju, imamo i velike planove za budućnost. Kako bi omogućili sudjelovanje brojnim zainteresiranim polaznicima, želimo održavati radionice u kontinuitetu, svakih dva mjeseca. Također, prilagodit ćemo i ured u Mostaru potrebama Code Campa, čime će postati još dostupniji studentskoj populaciji. 

Osim što nudi izvrsnu priliku za učenje i razvoj vještina, Code Camp je mjesto za prepoznavanje talenata i može biti Vaš prvi korak prema karijeri u Globalsoftu!

The first edition of Globalsoft Code camp is done! After 2 months of diligent learning and practicing under the watchful eye of their mentors, Josip and Ante, the students faced a challenge - the final test. In total 31 students passed the test - 16 in the beginner and 15 in the advanced group - and their work and effort were rewarded with a signed certificate with which they can start their web developm﻿ent careers. We also polled the students to see what we could do better in future editions, such as administrative and technical organization, the course structure, clarity of the content and the overall atmosphere. Judging by the results, the mentors did a great job since more than 90% of the grades were “very good” or “excellent”! If you want to be a part of the Code camp, the next edition is planned for autumn of 2023 both in Široki Brijeg and in Mostar.

Prvo izdanje Globalsoft Code campa je gotovo! Nakon dva mjeseca marljivog učenja i vježbanja pod budnim okom svojih mentora, Josipa i Ante, polaznike je dočekao izazov - završni test. Ukupno je 31 polaznik položio ispit - 16 u početničkoj i 15 u naprednoj skupini - a njihov rad i trud okrunjen je potpisanim certifikatom s kojim mogu započeti karijere u web developmentu. Polaznike smo i anketirali da vidimo što bismo mogli poboljšati u kasnijim izdanjima, poput administrativne i tehničke organizacije, strukture predavanja, jasnoće sadržaja, kao i općenito atmosfere. Sudeći po rezultatima, mentorima je super išlo jer je preko 90% ocjena bilo “vrlo dobro” ili “odlično”! Ako i Vi želite sudjelovati na Code campu, iduće izdanje planirano je za jesen 2023. i u Širokom Brijegu i u Mostaru.

Počevši od travnja 2023., održavat ćemo besplatnu radionicu web programiranja za pojedince koji žele naučiti osnove web razvoja. Naša radionica namijenjena je svima sa završenom srednjom školom i nekim osnovnim znanjem o programiranju.



Tijekom radionice, koja će trajati 3 sata, od 16:00 do 19:00, 3 dana u tjednu, tijekom dva mjeseca, naši iskusni programeri podijelit će svoje znanje i iskustvo s odabranim kandidatima. Naučit ćete osnovna pravila razvoja i razviti aplikaciju koristeći frontend i backend tehnologije. Na kraju radionice moći ćete izraditi vlastiti projekt kojim ćete dokazati naučeno, a koji ćete kasnije moći koristiti u svom fakultetskom obrazovanju ili obogatiti svoj portfolio za bolje rezultate na tržištu rada.





Što je potrebno za sudjelovanje?

On Monday, April 3rd, we started with our Globalsoft code camp. More than 50 accepted candidates were divided into three groups, two basic and one advanced, and they will spend the next two months under the tutelage and mentorship of our developers Ante and Josip to learn the fundamentals of web application development, dabbing into both frontend and backend, with the goal of having everyone learn how to set up a basic web app by themselves. Who knows, maybe a future Globalsoft team member is hiding somewhere among these students! If you were too late to apply this time, there will be more code camps and workshops in the future, so stay tuned.

Die über 50 angenommenen Kandidaten wurden in drei Gruppen eingeteilt, zwei davon für Anfänger und eine für Fortgeschrittene, und sie werden die nächsten zwei Monate unter der Anleitung und Betreuung unserer Entwickler Ante und Josip verbringen, um die Grundlagen der Web-App-Entwicklung zu erlernen, sowohl im Frontend-Bereich wie im Backend-Bereich, so dass jeder lernen kann, eine einfache Web-App selbstständig zu entwickeln. Wer weiß, vielleicht versteckt sich ja ein künftiges Globalsoft-Teammitglied irgendwo unter diesen Studenten! Falls Sie dieses Mal zu spät dran waren, um sich anzumelden - machen Sie sich keine Sorgen! In Zukunft wird es weitere Code-Camps und Workshops geben, also bleiben Sie dran.

Am Montag, dem 3. April, haben wir mit unserem Globalsoft Code-Camp begonnen.

Unser Code-Camp hat begonnen

U ponedjeljak, 3. travnja, započeli smo naš Globalsoft code camp. Više od 50 prihvaćenih kandidata razdijeljeno je u tri grupe, dvije osnovne i jednu naprednu, koje će provesti iduća dva mjeseca pod mentorstvom naših developera Ante i Josipa kako bi naučili temelje razvoja web aplikacija, ulazeći i u frontend i u backend, sa krajnjim ciljem da nauče kako sami napraviti osnovnu web aplikaciju. Tko zna, možda se među njima krije i neki budući član Globalsoft tima! Ako ste okasnili za prijavu ovaj put, bit će još code campova i radionica u budućnosti, pa nas pratite.

U ponedjeljak, 3. travnja, započeli smo naš Globalsoft code camp.

Započeo je Code camp

On Monday, April 3rd, we started with our Globalsoft code camp. More than 50 accepted candidates were divided into three groups, two basic and one advanced, and they will spend the next two months under the tutelage and mentorship of our developers Ante and Josip to learn the fundamentals of web application development, dabbing into both frontend and backend, with the goal of having everyone learn how to set up a basic web app by themselves. Who knows, maybe a future Globalsoft team member is hiding somewhere among these students! If you were too late to apply this time, there will be more code camps and workshops in the future, so stay tuned.

Code camp has started

After our successful first edition, 56 attendees, 31 certificates and employment of four colleagues, it’s time for the second edition of Globalsoft Code Camp!&nbsp;The workshops will be held in Globalsoft premises in Široki Brijeg, this time in a newly built classroom intended specifically for workshops. The official start of workshops is on 06.11.2023 and they will last two months. Slots will be at 09:00 – 12:00 and 16:30 – 19:30, two times a week.&nbsp;You can apply via the template on our official website www.globalsoft.ba/en/code-camp, and the applications are open until 29.10.2023. Number of attendees is limited due to limited capacity.The workshops are free and available to everyone, from high school students, university students to already employed people who want to take a shot in the programming world. All you need is a laptop, good mood and willingness to learn.&nbsp;The aim of the workshops is to give to all attendees the basics of web development as well as building a basic web app on their own which will help them in their future development in the web programming world.&nbsp;See you at Code Camp! Nach unserer erfolgreichen ersten Ausgabe, 56 Teilnehmern, 31 Zertifikaten und der Einstellung von vier Kollegen, ist es Zeit für die zweite Ausgabe des Globalsoft Code Camps!&nbsp;&nbsp;Die Workshops finden in den Räumlichkeiten von Globalsoft in Široki Brijeg statt, dieses Mal in einem neu gebauten Klassenzimmer, das speziell für diesen Zweck konzipiert wurde. Der offizielle Start der Workshops ist am 06.11.2023 und sie werden zwei Monate dauern. Die Workshops finden zweimal pro Woche von09:00 bis 12:00 Uhr und von 16:30 bis 19:30 Uhr statt.&nbsp;&nbsp;Du kannst dich über die Vorlage auf unserer offiziellen Website <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.globalsoft.co/code-camp">globalsoft.co/code-camp</a> bewerben. Die Bewerbungen sind bis zum 29.10.2023 möglich. Aufgrund der begrenzten Kapazität ist die Teilnehmerzahl begrenzt.&nbsp;Die Workshops sind kostenlos und stehen allen offen, von Schülern und Studenten bis hin zu Berufstätigen, die einen Versuch in der Welt des Programmierens wagen wollen. Alles, was du brauchst, ist ein Laptop, gute Laune und Lernbereitschaft.&nbsp;&nbsp;Das Ziel der Workshops ist es, allen Teilnehmern die Grundlagen der Webentwicklung zu vermitteln und selbst eine grundlegende Web-App zu erstellen, die ihnen bei ihrer zukünftigen Entwicklung in der Welt der Webprogrammierung helfen wird. Nakon uspješnog prvog izdanja, 56 polaznika, 31 certifikata i zaposlenja četvero kolega, vrijeme je za drugo izdanje Globalsoft Code Campa!

Radionice će se održati u prostorijama Globalsofta u Širokom Brijegu, ovaj put u novoizgrađenoj učionici predviđenoj upravo za tu namjenu. Službeni početak radionica je 06.11.2023., a trajanje 2 mjeseca. Termini će biti u razdoblju od 09:00h - 12:00h te od 16:30h - 19:30h, dva puta tjedno.

Prijaviti se možete putem obrasca na službenoj stranici www.globalsoft.ba/hr/code-camp, a prijave su otvorene do 29.10.2023. godine. Broj mjesta je ograničen zbog raspoloživog kapaciteta. 

Radionice su besplatne i dostupne svima, od srednjoškolaca, studenata do već zaposlenih ljudi koji se žele okušati u svijetu web programiranja. Sve što vam je potrebno su laptop, dobro raspoloženje i volja za učenjem.

Cilj radionica je omogućiti svim polaznicima osnovu web razvoja te samostalnu izradu osnovne web aplikacije koja će biti od pomoći u daljnjem razvoju u svijetu web programiranja.
