After an intense creative weekend with a huge amount of collaboration and lots of coffee, we are proud to be able to announce the best teams that took part in our very first globalsoft hackathon.
But first, let's take a step back and reflect on what made this first event so special.
A Challenge Like No Other
First globalsoft Hackathon, held on August 30-31, 2024, was much more than a competition. It gathered really bright minds from all parts of the region. With a theme of "Smart City Innovation," participants were challenged to dream up solutions that could genuinely make our cities smarter, safer, and more sustainable. For 48 hours, our headquarters was buzzing with clacking keyboards, flying ideas, and lots of collaboration in real time.
What really makes hackathons different, however, is the innovation, skill development, and networking. Participants had an opportunity to think out of the box, learn new technologies, and network with like-minded people while solving real-world problems. It was an avenue to push the envelope on what's possible, and our teams did just that.
The Spirit of Competition
This was indeed one hackathon that tested the creativity and stamina of the contestants. The competitors were tough, coming from diverse backgrounds and holding different views. Projects ranged from smart traffic management systems to augmented reality applications that brought local landmarks into vivid life. Each project had something different to offer. This made the judges' task of picking out the best really tough.

What's Next?
The success of our first hackathon has been nothing but an appetizer for the future. We are already planning an even bigger and better hackathon next year with newer challenges, more participants, and opportunities for even more breakthrough ideas. This weekend has taught us one thing if anything at all: when creativity and collaboration come together, magic will happen.
